Whether a departure is voluntary or the result of business constraints, LifeWork offers a rewarding option for those who want to remain professionally engaged while making a difference in their communities.
We are creating a new culture of service for mature workers, equipping them with the tools to transition into full-time late career (or second act) service roles. As an alternative to traditional outplacement, LifeWork is a true value-added benefit program. We collaborate with your human resources and benefits professionals to create a structure that fits your organization and those employees who choose the LifeWork experience. This may include:
- Initial evaluation and career review
- Performance profile
- Inventory of interests
- Tailored transitional training (key in managing the challenge of moving from a business environment to a service/nonprofit environment)
- Networking opportunities with other LifeWork’ers
Then we work to find the right match for each individual based on their experience, interests and potential fit within a community-serving organization. The focus is on full-time employment though some interim positions may also be available. Depending on program design, LifeWork charges will be comparable to traditional outplacement services. We do not charge any fees to the nonprofit organizations where individuals are placed.
